The Morning After

Night at the Computer Center was comparatively silent due to the reinforced Doors at the Storage Room. The Radiation level is now low enough and there is enough light to head out. Although there is a slight dark hue at the horizon, I hardly expect any disturbances today. I am living off the crumbs I found in the nearest store, its a surprise they are still here, considering that the store is 'closed' for more than a century.
The wind seems to be blowing eastwards, as I predicted, the radiation storm must be getting nearer. My first stop will be the Mayor's office, where I expect to find some information about the disk and some more details about the town. Then I will head to the Mart, to see if I can get some rations there. If I am lucky, hopefully I won't meet anybody unexpected in my way. I don't like surprises.
If I could secure the disc, then we can finally cross the mountain pass which our defunct government sealed somewhere around 2027 to unsuccessfully stop the radiation leaks from this western part of country. The signal strength of the Home signal is a little up here but nowhere as good as in Rock Pass Station. Last night, I found some old newspapers dating back to 2031, the headlines carry the story of Korea's win over Japan and reclamation of Hawaii by the states to get back control in pacific.  Apparently, this news is after the nuclear exchange of 2026 which led to the controversial 'Operation Ye0Za'.
I will be telling you more about my discoveries when I return in a few hours. Until then, keep hope in your heart and don't believe in those stupid rumors about the new mutated human 'zombies'.

Until Fate's Grace. Keep Fighting.
